Kitzia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is the owner and founder of North City Counseling.  Kitzia has been working with children and families since 2013. Kitzia has worked for community mental health agencies and school districts, helping families cope with the daily challenges of home, school, and community.

Kitzia’s approach is one of empathy and providing an open and trusting environment that is conducive to helping clients work through their deepest struggles and challenges. Kitzia is fluent in Spanish and prides herself on providing an open and inclusive environment for all who wish to seek counseling services.

When Kitzia is not at the office, she is spending time with her spouse of eleven years, two children (ages 7 & 10), and the family dog.  Kitzia enjoys spending time with her family watching movies, playing board games, and going on bike rides. Kitzia cherishes moments of togetherness with family—whether it’s sharing meals, exploring nature with their dog, or engaging in activities that nurture their individual and collective well-being.  Kitzia also knows that family life can be busy and hectic, being a parent and running a household is a full-time job in and of itself. As a busy mother and business owner, Kitzia knows that family life is a reminder of the importance of connection, resilience, and unconditional love—values that resonate profoundly both in her personal life and in her work as a counselor.
